Women's lacrosse: Big start lifts Tar Heels past Cavs


North Carolina women's lacrosse is headed back to the NCAA semifinals for the fourth time in five years. The Tar Heels took nine shots on net in the first half and scored 10 goals en route to a 13-9 win over the Cavaliers Saturday at Fetzer Field. The Tar Heels will now face the winner of last night’s game between No. 2 Northwestern and No. 7 Penn State on Friday in Villanova, Pa. (Durham Herald-Sun)
