Miami Gets Mercy Ruled
Posted May 23, 2013
Top-seeded North Carolina has struggled at times against left-handed pitching this season. That wasn’t a concern at the ACC Tournament on Thursday as the Tar Heels delivered a 10-run mercy run blow to No. 8 seed Miami in the eighth inning. UNC (49-8) improved to 15-6 against left-handed pitching by chasing Andrew Suarez in 5 1/3 innings with seven earned runs and 11 hits.
