Posted May 26, 2013
The game finally came to an end early Sunday morning in the 18th inning, as Cody Stubbs dumped a blooper into left center field to give Carolina a 2-1 lead. NC State had a chance to tie it up at the bottom of the eighteenth, but wasn't able to capitalize. With the win, UNC will have to turn around in less than 12 hours to play in the ACC Championship game.
