UNC defeats Virginia Tech 4-1 to win ACC tournament


North Carolina didn't need extra innings this time. After playing 41 innings since Friday night, UNC defeated Virginia Tech 4-1 in the ACC tournament championship game on Sunday at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The game began less than 12 hours after UNC's 18-inning victory against N.C. State ended in the early hours of Sunday morning. (Charlotte Observer)
