North Carolina Claims ACC Baseball Tournament Championship


North Carolina (52-8) claimed its sixth ACC Tournament title with a 4-1 win over Virginia Tech (38-20) Sunday afternoon at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Freshman Taylore Cherry made his first career start for the Tar Heels on Sunday and delivered a championship performance as he eclipsed his season total in innings of 3.1 entering the day.
