North Carolina piled up hits and stranded base runners every inning, leaving the door open for Florida Atlantic. Through the sixth inning, it appeared Florida Atlantic wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the Tar Heels’ shortcomings. That changed with the Owls’ first hit. Florida Atlantic’s Ricky Santiago bashed a three-run home run in the seventh inning to deliver a 3-2 victory against UNC. (Burlington Times News)
