Three days removed from a 4-A state championship appearance, Fuquay-Varina pitcher Brett Daniels committed to playing baseball at the University of North Carolina on Tuesday. At the plate, Daniels was one of the Bengals' most deadly hitters this past season. Batting .432, he recorded 43 hits, 23 runs and 4 home runs. He also had 47 RBIs, breaking Fuquay-Varina's single-season RBI record. (High School OT)
