Rainout gives UNC pitchers chance to rest

After using all three of its weekend starting pitchers during its 13-inning victory against Florida Atlantic earlier this week, North Carolina welcomed the opportunity for some rest before playing against South Carolina in a Super Regional. The steady rains of Tropical Storm Andrea caused the postponement of the first game of UNC’s best-of-three series against the Gamecocks. (Charlotte Observer)
