Parks Jordan “Bolts” home as Tar Heels top Gamecocks in Game 1

Skye Bolt’s soft single to right on an 0-2 pitch drove home Parks Jordan with the winning run as the North Carolina Tar Heels slipped past the South Carolina Gamecocks 6-5 in the first game of the NCAA Super Regionals in Chapel Hill. The second game in the best-of-three series is scheduled Sunday at 1 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium and will be televised by ESPN. A third game, if needed, will be played Monday at a time to be announced.
