The victory puts N.C. State in the winner's bracket in their four-team double-elimination pool in the College World Series. The Tar Heels (57-11), meanwhile, will have to advance through the loser's bracket if they are to win their first national championship in their 10th trip to Omaha. UNC, the No. 1 national seed, is here for the sixth time in the past eight seasons.
