Have Tar Heels simply run out of gas in Omaha?

The fact that the North Carolina Tar Heels are playing the LSU Tigers in the second round of the College World Baseball isn’t surprising. What is surprising, unless you live in Raleigh or Louisiana, is the fact that Tuesday’s game is an elimination contest. One of these teams will be headed home before the sun sets in Nebraska. Have the Tar Heels simply run out of gas at the end of the season?
