Holberton's homer helps Tar Heels eliminate Tigers

Brian Holberton hit a two-run homer in the first inning and North Carolina never relinquished that lead Tuesday, beating LSU 4-2 to eliminate the Tigers from the College World Series. The Tar Heels improved to 58-11 before a crowd of 21,380. North Carolina advances to a Thursday game to play the loser of the North Carolina State-UCLA contest set for Tuesday night.
