Hobbs Johnson signs with Brewers, will report to Montana

It will happen more than 2,300 miles away from home in an unfamiliar place, but by week’s end, Hobbs Johnson’s lifelong goal will be his reality. He’ll be a professional baseball player. Johnson agreed to a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, just more than two weeks after the club drafted the University of North Carolina junior in the 14th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.
