Malik Newman in fortunate position
Posted Jul 9, 2013
Malik Newman is in a very fortunate position. The 2015 scoring guard from Jackson (Miss.) Callaway is tracking as the best guard in the entire class and he's on the radar of every elite high major who needs a wing scoring guard. Newman says that the UNC staff has made him feel like a priority recruit. They are selling him on an effective and proven path to the ultimate goal -- making it to the NBA. Newman and his father both spoke with Roy Williams over the phone in a conversation that was described as genuine and relaxed.
