UNC's Yates goes from redshirt to starting QB

T.J. Yates didn't know what to do. At least a half-dozen TV cameras were pointed above the platform where he was supposed to stand Thursday after being named North Carolina's starting quarterback for the Sept. 1 season opener against James Madison. "Stand on this green thing?" he asked, pointing to the platform. Then, almost sheepishly, he greeted the media. "Hello, everybody." (Charlotte Observer)
