Matt Harvey to play baseball for Tar Heels

Matt Harvey will be pitching for the University of North Carolina for a at least the next three years. The Fitch High School graduate decided against taking the offer put forth by the Los Angeles Angels Wednesday night and will report to North Carolina on August 20th. The elder Harvey wouldn’t disclose the actual money figures the Angels offered, although he said it was less than the $1.5 million that had been reported. (Norwich Bulletin)
