Injuries force UNC to Tabb tight end for double duty at linebacker

Because of an injury epidemic that has left the Tar Heels’ linebacking corps dangerously thin during preseason camp, tight end Jack Tabb has become a 6-foot-3, 240-pound insurance policy working out with the defense. “Jack is probably one our brightest football players,” coach Larry Fedora said after Monday’s workout.
