Breaking down the Tar Heels at Gamecocks

UNC hasn’t beaten a Division I (FBS) school in an opening game since 2000, hasn’t won a season opener on the road since 1993 and hasn’t beaten a SEC school in 12 years. Also, they haven’t bested a Top 10 team since 2004. UNC’s all-time record against AP Top 10 teams is 13-65-1. The highest ranked teams the Tar Heels have beaten on the road are No. 8 Duke in 1937 and No. 8 Michigan in 1966. (Orangeburg Times & Democrat)
