Red Zone Efficiency Concerns

North Carolina snapped the ball seven times from South Carolina’s two-yard line last Thursday and managed just three points. That result has spawned discussion regarding the efficiency of UNC’s spread offense in the red zone. Larry Fedora bristled on Monday when a reporter asked if the spread concept morphs into a liability as the goal line approaches.
