Postgame Chalkboard: Short-Yardage Options

An anemic performance in the red zone was one of the biggest problems for the Tar Heel offense against South Carolina a week ago. Some different short-yardage options were on display in Saturday’s game against Middle Tennessee State. As the field gets shorter, the advantages of a spread offense disappear, since the defense no longer has to defend the deep zones. (Inside Carolina)
