The Hurricanes started off fast early in the first half, as UNC once again found itself vulnerable to allowing big plays on defense. Running back Duke Johnson broke off a 59-yard gain before getting hurt to set up one score, and then wide receiver Phillip Dorsett had a 68 yard completion. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
