With the increased scrutiny placed on high school kids today, Roy Williams spoke about the difficulties of the recruiting process, using the term “demeaning” on several occasions when discussing the practice itself. He pointed to the media drowning prospects with attention at summer events, leading to earlier commitments, as well as college being a stepping stone for many recruits on the way to the NBA.
