Previewing Oakland

North Carolina opens its 2013-14 season without P.J. Hairston or Leslie McDonald on Friday night at the Smith Center. The opponent is Oakland University and tip-off is set for 9 p.m. on the ACC Network. Oakland was picked fourth in its first season in Horizon League, and four Golden Grizzlies will miss Friday’s opener due to a variety of issues. (Inside Carolina)
