Andrew Carignan goes pro

His signature is not on the dotted line yet, but Andrew Carignan has decided to leave the University of North Carolina and join the Oakland A's organization. As first reported on NorwichBulletin.com Saturday, Carignan said he has come to an agreement with the A's, although that agreement will not be signed until he reports to the Single-A Kane County Cougars in Geneva, Ill., in the next two weeks.
