It's On To The Pros For Carignan

Andrew Carignan can't wait to become a professional baseball player. Actually, he can just a little bit longer, which is why he was so happy the Oakland Athletics gave him permission to spend two weeks with his family in Norwich before signing a contract and joining Kane County of Geneva, Ill., Oakland's Class-A team in the Midwest League. Carignan's family home was destroyed by fire on May 14. (The Day)
