Though this is an update on Tar Heels in the NFL, it's a special occasion that warrants mentioning Tar Heels in the CFL. Former QB Darian Durant led the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 45-23 victory in the 101st Grey Cup (Canada's equivalent of the Super Bowl). Durant completed 17 of his 24 passes, threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns, and had seven rushes for 26 yards.
