UNC relives plaintive tolling of lost Victory Bell


After Duke defeated North Carolina on a last-minute touchdown pass last season, the Blue Devils sprinted over to the UNC sideline to grab the Victory Bell, paint it Duke blue and ring it as fans poured onto the field at Wallace Wade Stadium. It wasn’t anything UNC left tackle wanted to see. “I remember the game ending and then just running off the field into the locker room,” Hurst said. (Durham Herald-Sun)
