"Is your conscience bothering you?" That's the question Carrboro police Capt. Chris Atack has for anyone who may know exactly how and under what circumstances UNC student David Shannon died last fall. The 18-year-old pledge at Chi Phi fraternity was killed last Oct. 27 after falling from a piece of machinery at the Ready Mixed Concrete plant in Carrboro. (Chapel Hill Magazine)
