North Carolina ranks first in wins over top-ranked teams with 12, two more than UCLA or Maryland. The Tar Heels are 12-17 in those matchups, and the last time they beat a No. 1 team without being ranked was against Oklahoma in the 1990 NCAA tournament (Video).
