Free throws have been anything but ‘free’ for Tar Heels

For the Tar Heels, Wednesday’s struggles from the line were the rule, rather than the exception. They also lost to Belmont on Nov. 17 when they couldn’t convert with the game on the line. Through its first 10 games this season, UNC has made only 59.6 percent of its free throws as a team, by far the worst in the ACC. Nationally, it ranks 345th out of 351 Division I teams (Wilmington Star News)
