Tar Heels provide relief for reliever

Andrew Carignan pitched North Carolina out of another tough spot on Tuesday to keep the Tar Heels alive in the College World Series. Entering the game with a two-run lead with two Louisville runners on and two outs in the eighth inning, the junior right-hander struck out the Cardinals' No. 4 hitter, Isaiah Howes. Carignan also struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth to finish off a 3-1 North Carolina win with his 17th save.
