Rice Cools Down UNC

North Carolina’s College World Series momentum came to a screeching halt Sunday, as the Tar Heels once again fell way behind early. Only this time they couldn’t overcome the tourney’s No. 2 seed Rice. UNC fell harmlessly to the CWS seasoned Owls, 14-4, and will have to face Louisville in an elimination game Tuesday at 2 p.m. EST (ESPN2). (Inside Carolina)
