Seth Williams, Tar Heels eager to avenge last year’s loss


One of three Tar Heels from western North Carolina, Williams has a .301 batting average and 40 RBIs heading into North Carolina's return engagement at the College World Series. UNC opens play against Mississippi State at 7 p.m. tonight in Omaha, Neb. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Joining Williams in Omaha, Neb., this week will be West Henderson alum Mike Facchinei and Roberson graduate Mike McKee. (Asheville Citizen-Times)
