Rob Wooten provides relief
Friday, June 15, 2007
If North Carolina's starting pitchers get into trouble at the College World Series, Rob Wooten is ready to rush to the rescue. The junior right-hander relieved in all six regional games, posted a 3-0 record, didn't allow an earned run in 9 2/3 innings and struck out 14 batters. "He's been good and has so much confidence now,'' said coach Mike Fox, who reigned Wooten in at the super regional. (Raleigh News & Observer)
