Tar Heels To Host South Carolina Beginning Friday In NCAA Super Regional

After winning its second straight NCAA regional, No. 3 national seed North Carolina has been selected to host its first-ever Super Regional beginning Friday at Boshamer Stadium. The Tar Heels (51-12) will face South Carolina (45-18) in the postseason for the fourth time in the last six seasons with the winner of the best-of-three series advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
