Joel Berry II becomes first three-time Florida Mr. Basketball

Lake Highland Prep senior Joel Berry II became the first three-time winner of the Florida Mr. Basketball award on Monday. Berry, a North Carolina signee who is also was selected as the Sentinel area Player of the Year as a sophomore, junior and senior, received 14 of 23 first place votes. Berry averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals in leading Lake Highland to a repeat Class 4A state championship.
