Wake's new coach Danny Manning welcomed home with open arms

With Wait Chapel in the background, the 6-foot-10 Manning drew cheers as he rolled toward Reynolda Hall on the back of a motorcycle being driven slowly by the considerably taller Demon Deacon mascot. Manning, who grew up in Greensboro and moved to Kansas after leading Page to the state title as a prep junior, has finally returned following a 31-year absence.
