Dustin Ackley One Of 30 Players In Hunt For Wallace Award


North Carolina freshman first baseman Dustin Ackley is one of 30 players remaining in the hunt for the 2007 Brooks Wallace College Player of the Year Award. Ackley, the ACC's Freshman of the Year, is batting .441 with seven home runs and 62 RBI. The Wallace Award is presented annually to the nation's top collegiate baseball player and will be televised nationally by Fox College Sports. (Tar Heel Blue)
