Plaque honoring Topeka High grad Dean Smith dedicated this week

Dean Smith, one of the greatest basketball coaches in the history of the sport and a man who worked his entire life to break down barriers that led to inequality, will be honored with a special plaque crafted in his honor during an assembly at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Topeka High School, from which he graduated in 1949.
