N.C. State baseball coach Elliott Avent was adamant that Carlos Rodon would not be available to pitch against rival North Carolina in Tuesday’s ACC tournament play-in game. For about 30 seconds, at least. In about the time it takes for the Wolfpack’s ace left-hander to walk from the bullpen to the mound, Avent already began hedging his bets on his pitching options when questioned by the media.
