Virginia ends UNC ACC Tournament title game hopes

North Carolina’s quest for a second straight ACC Tournament title is over. Now the Tar Heels can worry about extending their streak of 12 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. UNC missed a chance to cement its NCAA Tournament bid with a 3-2 loss to Virginia, the No. 1 team in the RPI, Friday night in NewBridge Bank Park. (Durham Herald-Sun)
