Carolina Opens NCAA Play With Long Beach State

North Carolina begins its pursuit of an 11th trip to the College World Series when the Tar Heels face Long Beach State Friday at 1 p.m. at McKethan Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida. The Tar Heels are in a regional for the 13th consecutive season after finishing the regular season with a record of 34-25. LBSU enters the postseason with a 32-24 record. (GoHeels.com)
