Virginia and Vanderbilt battle for distinction in College World Series


The Commodores and Cavaliers have been fixtures on the college baseball scene for the past decade and will meet tonight at 8 p.m. in a best-of-three series to determine the NCAA Division I champion. Virginia (52-14) is making its 11th NCAA appearance in as many years under head coach Brian O’Connor, while the Commodores (49-20) are making their 10th trip under 12-year head coach Tim Corbin.
