Kyle Seager named American League player of the week

Kyle Seager has been named the American League player of the week for the week ending on June 29. It’s the second time this season he’s garnered the award. Seager shared the award for April 21-27 with Chicago’s Jose Abreu. Giants’ pitcher Tim Lincecum was named the National League player of the week after throwing the second no-hitter of his career.
