Forward C.J. Barksdale leaving Virginia Tech basketball program

Buzz Williams will have one less piece to work with his first season as Virginia Tech’s basketball coach. Forward C.J. Barksdale, who would have been a senior this season, has left the program, multiple sources confirmed Thursday, trimming Williams’ initial roster even further. Barksdale is still in school and has not requested his release to transfer, the source said. He is the fifth player to leave the program since Williams was hired in March. (Roanoke Times)
