Posted Jul 21, 2014
Roy Williams offered a scholarship to 2016 5-star shooting guard Malik Monk (6-4, 180, Bentonville, Ark.) on Monday night according to multiple sources.
Williams got a first-hand look at Monk during last weekend's Peach Jam, where Monk put on a show for the coaches in attendance, even scoring a dominant 40 points in one of his games.
Monk is the first shooting guard in UNC's 2016 basketball recruiting class to receive a scholarship offer from Williams. Monk also hold offers from and is strongly considering Kentucky, Arkansas, and Kansas.
