'Other' Durant just the right fit for NFL

The fickle nature of the NFL draft was framed perfectly when the Jacksonville Jaguars used their second-round pick last Saturday to select linebacker Justin Durant of Hampton, a Division I-AA school in eastern Virginia. Second-round picks get lucrative contracts and usually go on to long, productive careers. It's exactly the sort of pro football security that Durant's older brother, Darian, hoped to realize but never did after his days at UNC. (Raleigh News & Observer)
