Hendersonville High’s Eric Gash wears a lot of hats


made his debut as Hendersonville High’s football coach Friday. It was a night to forget, with the Bearcats on the wrong end of a 49-14 rout against Asheville High. And of the more than 30 high school football coaches in Western NC, Gash is probably the first in history to prep for his new job by spending 14 years in the Caribbean and starting a ministry before returning to the football field.
