No. 23 Tar Heels want to live up to preseason hype
Posted Aug 26, 2014
Quarterback drama aside, the Tar Heels are starting out the season ranked (No. 23 in both polls) for the first time since 2010. This year's team isn't as talented as that one was, and in spite of its top-25 ranking, it has plenty of issues, particularly along the offensive and defensive lines. But the voters clearly liked the way UNC finished last season and the players that it brings back at the skill positions.
