Freshman first baseman Dustin Ackley led the Tar Heels with a .471 average (8-17) on the week. He posted his fifth four-hit game of the season Tuesday against Campbell and had three hits in the series finale versus Florida State. Ackley hit his sixth home run of the season Friday. On the year, he continues to lead the nation with a .467 average.
